Actually, you probably will believe what happened after two days of rain (and snow) in Sydney. Kuringai Council has closed all grounds, so those involved in Summer Soccer have no game today.
News just in - the winner of the NSFA Club Championship for 2014 is Bannockburn Clarke Road Football Club! http://www.foxsportspulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=1-10116-0-0-0&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=31606123
The Club Championship is open to all clubs with 5 or more competition age teams in at least 3 of the 4 disciplines (Men’s, Junior Mixed, Girl’s and Women’s). The winner is determined by adding all points scored in competition games and dividing by the total number of competition games played by that club.
Here's the final table:
It is amazing what a small community club can achieve - well done to all teams.
You are invited to join us for a football (soccer) competition. It’s FREE to enter and play! For boys and girls aged 6-12 years (split into 6-8 and 9-12).
Run and hosted by former professional football player Cam Jones.
Sign up as an individual or organise your own team and sign up together! Teams are 5-a-side but can include up to 7 in a squad.
Our friends at Soccer Kickstart are again offering holiday clinics for those children who need a little less screen time and a little more green time. Clinics are held at East Ryde, Ryde, Turramurra, Cherrybrook and Cheltenham, depending on age and experience.
The Club receives a small amount from each registered player. So if you can't decide which clinic to attend, attend a Kickstart clinic and mention you're from Bannockburn!

Friends and family of Rhys Pagalday held the trivia fund raiser night recently. The night was a big success, raising more than $17,000.
Bannockburn Clarke Road Football Club, Asquith Football Club and Mount Colah Football Club contributed $1550 towards his recovery.
The soccer community have been absolutely amazing. Rhys had a visit at school from Adam Kwasnik, Youth Development Officer with the Central Coast Mariners who presented Rhys with a signed jersey and ball. There was also a visit from Rob Wilkinson, the father of Socceroo Alex Wilkinson, who donated a signed jersey for the auction. Alex will be in Australia at Christmas and will check in with Rhys. The Central Coasts Mariners have promised Rhys and his mates tickets next season.
The Club wishes Rhys and his family the best of luck going forward.
The weather gods are a mean bunch, and have again denied the M35s the chance to play the Grand Final. The game that was re-scheduled at St Ives Showground today has again been cancelled.
If the game is rescheduled, and maybe even moved to an all-weather pitch, you'll hear about it as soon as we do.
Keep your snorkels at the ready for any ice bucket challenges instead.
UPDATE 8 September: There is no reschedule of the Grand Final. BCRFC is declared joint winner for season 2014.
